Obituary for Faye Webster Faye Gibbs Webster, age 93, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at her home. A Time of Gathering and Burial of Mrs. Webster’s cremains will be at a later date in Gordonsville, TN. Mrs. Webster was born September 28, 1925 in Stonewall, TN to the late L.B. and Vade Smith Gibbs.

A graduate of Tennessee Technological University, she taught Business in high schools in Gordonsville, Tennessee, Belle Glade, Florida and Griffin, Georgia. She was an Adult Education teacher in Memphis before moving to Springfield in 1959. Mrs Webster was a member of the Springfield First United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Webster is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Raymond H. Webster, her son, Raymond “Ray” Webster, Jr. and her grandson, Patrick Webster. Mrs. Webster is survived by her daughter, Wenda Webster Fischer and husband Chuck; grandchildren, Raymond H. “Trey” Webster, III and Sarah Wilson, Robert J. “Rob” Webster and wife, Shyane, and Chastyn S. Webster; and great-grandson, Bennett P. Webster. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to Springfield First United Methodist Church.
