Taft – Fermin A. Suarez passed away peacefully at his residence on November 19, 2018. He was 69. Fermin was born July 27, 1949 in Taft, Texas to Eloisa (Acosta) and Jose Suarez, Jr

He was a resident of Taft most of his life, and former resident of San Antonio, Texas. Fermin worked as a painter, formerly employed by Barcom Construction. He was a beloved husband, father, son, uncle and friend.

Fermin will be missed by all who knew him. Preceeding in death are his mother: Eloisa Suarez; brothers: Juan Suarez and Jose Suarez, III; sister: Eloisa Rodriguez; and brothers-in-law: Marcos Sifuentes and Tom McIntyre. Survivors include his wife: Maria Alice Suarez of Taft, Texas; sons: Fermin Suarez, Jr. (Jennifer) and Jose Suarez; daughter: Annette Suarez; 9 grandchildren: Andreah Suarez, Ezekial Marroquin, III, Brittney Suarez, Fermin Suarez, III, Chris Suarez, Sean Suarez, Joshua Suarez, Brandon Suarez and Jaymin Suarez, all of Taft, Texas; his father: Jose Suarez, Jr. of Taft, Texas; brother: Frank Suarez (Janie) of Taft, Texas; and sisters: Lupe Sifuentes, Josie McIntyre, Mary Ann Cruz (Sam) and Jo Ann Alvarado (Roy), all of Taft, Texas; Mary Maldonaldo (Rene) of Beeville, Texas; and Felipa Saldivar (Eddie) of Corpus Christi, Texas.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2018, 4:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton. A Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, November 21, 2018, 9:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church in Taft with Father Pete Stanley as celebrant.
