Funeral services for Finn Ellsworth will take place at 11 A.M. Friday, July 13, 2018 at Crossroads Church, 3402 Hoeger Lane, Albert Lea. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 4-7 P.M. at Bonnerup Funeral Service, 2210 E Main, Albert Lea, and again one hour prior to the service at church. Finn Kristofer Ellsworth, age 6, died unexpectedly on July 7, 2018.

Finn was born on March 23, 2012 to parents Randi Matthies and Kris Ellsworth in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Finn was raised on their farm near Hartland and just finished Kindergarten at Sibley Elementary School in Albert Lea. Finn was a typical little brother, loved by his sisters.

He was involved with hockey and T-ball in Albert Lea and his favorite things included playing Minecraft, legos, and all things farming. He loved riding around with dad and looking at pig barns, helping take care of the farm animals, riding in the baler with Garrett, and was looking forward to showing sheep and cattle with his sister Olivia this summer. Finn loved the outdoors and spending time fishing with his family, especially his daddy and Papa Joe.

Recently, Finn mastered how to ride a bike and had hopes of going bow hunting with Foley. His happy, smiling face will be missed deeply by his parents, Kris Ellsworth and Randi Matthies; sisters, Morgan Bjorklund, Rylee Bjorklund, Olivia Ellsworth; grandparents, Lori Matthies, Garry (Sally) Matthies, Penny (Joe) Schaefer, Rich (Margie) Ellsworth; uncle Cole (Cassie) Matthies and their children Alexis, Ryanne, Lynden, and Emmett, aunt Courtney (Peter) Botcher and their daughter Cora, uncle Cahler Matthies, uncle Nate Ellsworth; their German Shepherd, Chase; their cat, Monkey; and several other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Alyce & Allan Anderson, Leslie & Germaine Matthies, Lester and Doris Sowder, Isabel & William ‘Bill’ Schaefer, and Betty Fossum.
