Of Waupaca, age 93, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019 at home with her kitties and daughter by her side. She loved her family and all the creatures of nature. She worked as a registered nurse at the Waupaca Riverside Hospital and at the Wisconsin Veteran’s Home in King.

Her love for reading encouraged her to be active in the literacy council of Waupaca, helping others to enjoy reading as she did. As an amateur astronomer she was invited to give lectures at the local grade schools, Boy Scout and Girl Scout troupes. She will be sadly missed by her children: Nicki (Jim) Lassila of Chassell, MI; Susan Harvey of Waupaca; Padraic (Renee) Harvey of Butternut, WI; grandchildren: John Lassila, Jeremy (Stacey) Lassila, Jay (Andrea) Lassila and Elisha (Taft) Williams; four great grandchildren: Kassidy Higgins, Jackson Williams, Nora Lassila and Bryce Lassila.

She is further survived by three sisters: Tekla Johnson, Garnett Narrup and Debra Johnson, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Harvey, son: Jeffrey and brother, James Powell. In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated to your local Humane Society.
