Florence’s Obituary Florence Margaret Koch Auburn, Michigan Our beloved Florence went to her heavenly home Wednesday morning May 29, 2019 at Ascension St. Mary’s of Michigan, age 87. She was born the daughter of the late John and Flora (Riess) Tomke January 3, 1932 in Auburn and had resided in this area all of her life. She was a lifelong member of Zion Ev.

Lutheran Church (Beaver) being baptized, confirmed and married there. She was active in Ladies of Zion,choir, quilting and camping with the church for many years. She married Ross W. Koch on June 12, 1954, he survives her.

Also surviving are 3 children; Vicki (Emmit) Simpson, Lee (Karen) Koch, Gary (Norma Jean) Koch, 11 grandchildren; Amanda Koch, Tyler (Susan) Simpson, Mark (Krista) Koch, Kayla (Blake) Robitaille, Lezlie (Andrew) Koch, Megan Koch, Cameron Koch, Landon (Kelly) VanWormer, Jeremy, Nathaniel and Laura Simpson, 7 great-grandchildren; (and one coming soon), 1 sister; Shirley (Earl) Gerstacker, 1 brother; John (Judy) Tomke, 1 sister in-law; Joan Stark, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends; Rev. Leroy R. (Carol) Westphal. Also welcoming Florence home is 2 brothers; Herbert and Charles and 1 sister; Anita.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday June 1, 2019 at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church (11 Mile and Seidler Rds. -Beaver).

Rev. Andrew P. Menz will officiate with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Florence’s family will receive friends at the Auburn Chapel of the Cunningham-Taylor Funeral Homes, Inc. on Friday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. On Saturday morning Florence will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

Those planning an expression of sympathy, envelopes C.G.L.T. (Building Fund) for Zion Ev. Lutheran Church (Beaver) will be available.
