Florence’s Obituary Florence “Candy” Zolik, age 84, of Milford, DE passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Harrison Senior Living in Georgetown, DE. Candy was born in Hilo, HI on July 3, 1934 to the late Ah Fook Leong Pung and the late Frances (Aguiar) Pung. She proudly served her country in the United States Air Force.

Candy was a volunteer with the United Service Organizations (USO) for 15 years at the Dover Air Force Base, the Red Cross and was a candy striper and volunteer at several local hospitals. She was also a member of the Elks Lodge in Milford, DE. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.

Candy enjoyed using her creativity to make jewelry, crafts and oil paintings. She also enjoyed flower arranging, cake decorating and crocheting. Candy was a fantastic cook, talented seamstress and enjoyed shopping especially for shoes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph D. Zolik in 2017; a brother, Eddie Pung and a sister, Victoria Hamasaki. She is survived by her children, Pamela (Richard) Simpson, Damian Zolik, Kathy Farrahar (Harry Parkinson), Marcy (Michael) Davis and Joel Zolik; 17 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and two brothers, Joseph and Ernest Pung. A committal service will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966.
