Obituary for Floyd A. Layman Floyd Arthur Layman, 97, of Summit Hills-Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, November 23, 2018, at his home. Born January 20, 1921, in Detroit, MI, he was the son of the late Lester Max and Cora Hodges Layman and husband of the late Irene Marie Smith Layman. Floyd worked for Fisher Body (General Motors) for 40 year.

He was accomplished in drawing, building, target shooting, and life. He never complained and read the Bible constantly. Survivors include a brother, two daughters, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
