Obituary for Frances A. Sunderland Frances A. Sunderland (nee Ford) of Westville, NJ, passed away on October 8, 2018 surrounded by her seven loving children after suffering a severe stroke at the age of 93 years. Devoted wife of the late Richard F. Sunderland, Sr. who predeceased her in 1979. Beloved mother of Margaret Kline (David) of Phoenix, AZ, Barbara Neuffer (Dale) of Westville, NJ, Mary England (the late Tom) of Mantua, NJ, Kathy White of Phoenix, AZ, Jeanne Breyer (Michael) of Blackwood, NJ, Patricia Sunderland, at home, Richard F. Sunderland, Jr. of Bellmawr, NJ, and her “adopted son” Neil Taylor (Carol) of England.
Proud grandmother of fifteen, great grandmother of twenty five, and great-great grandmother of two. Dear sister of Margaret Hull of Wisconsin Frances was a loving, patient, and giving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and mother in law. If you wanted one of the best peanut butter and jelly sandwiches you ever had, she was the woman to go to.
She was a devout Catholic and faithful member of Infant Jesus Parish. She loved Church and her relationship with God was of the utmost importance to her. She was a member of the St. Margaret’s Women’s Club.
Frances was incredibly talented at crochet and crafts and would often volunteer to be the “crochet lady” for fund raisers at St. Margaret’s Church and St. Patrick’s Church, often times making blankets for them to sell. She also enjoyed crocheting baby items for the Neonatal Unit at Underwood Hospital. Frances’ family would like to take the opportunity to give genuine thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at Inspira Medical Center in Woodbury, NJ for the love and care that they gave.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM at Infant Jesus Parish/ St. Margaret’s Church, 845 Third St., Woodbury Heights, NJ 08097, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated immediately following at 11:30 AM. Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the animal shelter of your choice.
