OBITUARY Frances C. Monteleone October 21, 1932 – July 14, 2018 Life in its eternity has many gifts which are placed upon the living, one such gift was our beloved Mother, the glue that held us all together and united us as one. Mother worked for Pacific Bell for 28 years and Kaiser for 30 years. In the early 1990’s she retired from Kaiser and had a party, then decided to return to work part time there a few years later, where she retired again in 2014 with an even bigger party.

She was considered the work mom at Kaiser. One of her favorite past times was candy crush, always asking one of us to “get her off this level please”. She loved the garden that Dana planted every year and was always so proud of her produce.

She always made everybody feel so loved, she was genuine and giving. Another favorite pastime of hers was playing backgammon with her grandchildren and any one else who would play with her. She often cheated at backgammon and occasionally used an inappropriate word while playing with her underaged grandkids.

She loved family gatherings at her home, and especially the good food that we all shared together. When it was her birthday she did not want it at home but at her favorite restaurant Maggiano’s. Her best companion was her dog Shadow, who brought her great comfort in the two years she had left in her life.

She was not afraid to speak her mind, even up to her last day, where she was completely in charge. She always maintained her wit and humor until the very end. Our comfort comes from knowing she is in the presence of Jesus.

She leaves behind four sisters, Angie, Donna, Gwen and Patty. Five Children, Charlene (Mark), Steven (Marlene), Anne Marie (Pat) Tammy (Ed), Dana (Myles). Eleven Grandchildren, Brandon, Tim, Nick, Danielle, Michele, Angela, Anthony, Eddie, Jonathon, Kelly, Haley and fifteen great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many more who lovingly referred to her as Mother, Grandma and Nana.

She was preceded in death by her grandson Tyler McCaw. Services will be held: August 3, 2018 – 11:00am Saint Bernadine of Sienna Church 24410 Calvert St. Woodland Hills, 91367 Please share a memory and photo on this website, scroll down to the box “Add A Memory” at the bottom of the page.
