HOLYOKE: Frances D. (Dibble) Lavelle, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the age of 72 surrounded by her loving family. Frances was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Dan and Frankie Dibble and attended Holyoke High School, “Class of 64”. She was the proprietor of JP’s Restaurant but what she enjoyed most was spending her time with her loving family and decorating her home and restaurant for the holidays.

Frances is survived by her husband of 51 years, James P. Lavelle; her children, Lisa (Steve) Rogers, James (Lisa) Lavelle, Katie (John) Monaghan, Jennifer (Tommy) Kakley, her grandchildren, Bryan Gaughan, Patrick Lavelle, Elley Lavelle, Timmy Gaughan, Tommy and Jack Kakley, her brother Dan Dibble and sister-in-law Debbie Dibble as well as many beloved family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 6th at 10:00 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton Street (please meet directly at the Church). Burial will follow in St. Jerome Cemetery.

There are no calling hours. The Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, Frances’s family requests donations be made to: Alzheimer’s Association MA Chapter, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
