Frances was born in Long Branch, NJ. She would go on to spend her formative years in Wise, NC – where she was educated and graduated thru the Wise school system.
Frances was a member of the National Honor Society. She would eventually relocate to Red Bank, NJ to marry and raise her family. Frances was employed as a Certified Home Health Aide for many years.
She established close bonds with her clients and their families – it wasn’t unusual that they would often become extended family. Frances was a long time resident of Wesleyan Arms, where she served as past President of the Resident Council. During her time there, she also founded and organized the annual Black History Celebration program – as she was proud of her heritage and wished to share the rich culture with her fellow residents and the surrounding community.
Frances was honorably recognized as a Silver Star Mother by The Salvation Army. She was awarded Mother of the Year by their Red Bank corps. Frances was a long standing member of Calvary Baptist Church, Red Bank, NJ.
Her faith in God was evident in the life she lived. She was a loyal patron of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, solving puzzles and tending to her substantial coin collection.
She acquired fine tastes for a good piece of fried chicken and for well timed shenanigans. Frances was predeceased by her parents, Helen Hall and Ransom Levister; her maternal grandparents, Lucille Hall White and Edward Hall; a daughter Clara Melinda, and a grandson, Jason Lee Daniels. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, six daughters, Melody Daniels, Carmen Wallace (David), Cheri Jones, Jacqueline Daniels, Anita Daniels, and Holly Daniels – her Sunshines.
