Obituary for Frances H. Mahoney (Harris) Frances Harris Mahoney, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 23, 2018 at the age of 97. She was born on July 5, 1921, the third child of Robert Jordan Harris and Pearl Thomas Harris. Her early years were spent at the Oak Valley School.

She graduated from Corsicana High School in 1939. At the age of 13 she came to know the Lord as her personal savior. After graduation she was employed by K-Wotens, A& P, and Sears.

She then met the love of her wife, William Mahoney and they were married. She adjusted well to being the wife of a farmer and very much enjoyed that life. After 6 years of marriage their daughter Martha Carolyn was born.

William was killed in 1969 and Frances was strong and brave throughout these many years. She was active in Northside Baptist Church, the church she loved so much. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She spent many happy hours with her grandson William Howard Corder. She will be missed so by all who loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Mahoney, her parents, sisters, Undine Dennis and Laverne Myatt, and brother Robert Buford Harris.

Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Corder and husband John; grandson, William Corder; nieces, Kay Wilson, Fran Poe, Lisa Aulds and Laura Thronberry; and many other loving family members and friends. Visitation will begin at Corley Funeral Home in Corsicana, Texas on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 11 a.m. followed by funeral services at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Rick Lamb officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hamilton Beeman Cemetery in Corsicana, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be David Poe, D’Wayne Thronberry, Jake Thronberry, Justin Thronberry, John Aulds and Tim Cates. The family would like to offer many thanks and appreciation to the staffs of Argent Court and Guadalupe Valley Nursing Center for the tender love and care they shared with Frances.
