Obituary for Frances Lurline Persinger (Seay) Print Frances Lurline Seay Persinger, 86, of 408 Railroad Ave, Iron Gate, died Saturday May 18, 2019 at the home of her granddaughter, 1605 Jefferson Ave, Clifton Forge. She was born August 12, 1932 in Lynchburg, Virginia, a daughter of the late Harry Lewis and Lona Myrtle Burton Seay. She was a founding member of the Church of Christ in Covington, throughout her career she was a medical assistant, working for 26 years for Dr. Wallace Nunnelly, MD, retiring from Dr. Raymond Claterbaugh, MD after 12 years or service, and worked briefly for Dr. Hamilton in Covington.

Her family was her whole world. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Noffsinger; a great-grandson, Rhett Johnson; her longtime companion, Dick Dudley; five sisters, Jean Seay, Rena Seay Scruggs, Minnie, Ottie, and Iris; and six brothers, Richard Seay, Wilson Seay, Lawrence Seay, Lewis Seay, Laris Seay and William Seay. She is survived by a daughter, Martha VanNess and husband Benny, of Glen Wilton; three sons, Charles W. Persinger, Jr. and wife Audrey, of South Chesterfield, Steven L. Persinger and wife Debbie, of Chesterfield, Michael L. Persinger, Sr. and wife Karen, of Clifton Forge; a sister-in-law, Barbara Seay, of Hickory, NC; sixteen grandchildren, Daniel Noffsinger and wife Shannon, Keely Massie and husband Curt, Sara Brinson and husband Adam, Ben Noffsinger and wife Stacey, Courtney Taylor, Niki Powell, Jessica Campbell and husband Jeremiah, Aaron Persinger and wife Lisa, Mandy Childs and husband Alan, Emily VanNess, Lauren VanNess, Jacob VanNess, Michael Persinger, Jr. and wife Angela, Megan Hasinger and husband Joey, Rebecca Persinger and Olivia Persinger; twenty five great-grandchildren, three great great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, including, Rick, Janet, June, Teresa, and David; and many other family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday from the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home in Clifton Forge with the Mr. Ken Goodmiller and Mr. Danny Lawhorn officiating. Interment will follow in Locust Bottom Cemetery in Glen Wilton. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
