FRANCES “BLONDIE” BIDDLE Frances “Blondie” Biddle, age 81, of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018. She was born, Frances Pottios, on September 11, 1936 in Van Voorhis, Washington County, Pennsylvania, one of nine children of Peter and Anna (Babirad) Pottios. Blondie was a retired custodian for the West Jefferson Hills School District and she also worked as a cook at the Pleasant Bar “P Bar” in Pleasant Hills, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she was responsible for creating the “Blondie Burger”.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond C. Biddle (dod: December 14, 1992) and three of her siblings, Rose Petrosky, John and Harry Pottios. She is survived by her four children, Bruce (Holly) Biddle, Doug (Cheryl) Biddle, Cindy Rae Jaskolski and Raymond (Colleen) Biddle, Jr.; seven grandchildren, Debbie Lee Albin, William Theiss, Amanda Biddle, Michael Biddle, Daniel Biddle, Christopher Biddle and Carly Biddle; four great grandchildren, Alexa Leigh Albin, Landon and Kiptyn Theiss, and Ava Steath and her five remaining siblings, Pauline Baden, Emily Gazi, Raymond Pottios, Myron Pottios and Mickey Bitsko. Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 6 – 8 PM and Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home (Large) Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350), where her funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 10 AM.

Blondie’s family suggests donations be made to the charity of your choice in her name.
