Frank Duane Brooks, 85, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2019 at Laurens Memorial Home in Laurens. Frank was a son of the late Malcolm Ruff Brooks and Hattie Crumpton Brooks and was the last survivor of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Preston, Malcolm and Furman Brooks and two sisters, Ruby Brooks and Louise Masters.

Surviving are two nieces, Linda Jones of Saluda and Annette Moore of Greenwood; two nephews, Roy Brooks of Greenwood and James Masters of Newberry and a very special cousin, Kenneth Brooks of Newberry. Frank loved people and always greeted visitors with a smile. His favorite past time was watching “The Price is Right” and playing “Battle” when he could find a worthy opponent.

He attended First Free Will Baptist Church. A special thank you is extended to the staff of Laurens Memorial Home for the love and care they gave to Frank for the past eight years, especially Sarah Dixon. Also thank you to Lynn from Hospice of Laurens for her care over the past few weeks.

A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday at Bethlehem Cemetery, Coronaca, officiated by Donald Davis.
