The funeral procession will form Thursday 9:30 am at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am at Saint Catherine Laboure Church.

Frank “Crip” Spada, 93, of Derrenbacher Street Kingston died at his home in the care of his loving family and Hospice on Saturday December 22, 2018. Born January 25, 1925 in Glasco, he was the son of the late Domenick and Filomena (Greco) Spada. Crip served in the United States Army during World War II in the Phillipines.

For thirty years, he was employed by the New York State Department of Labor as a Field Supervisor. He loved his family dearly and was a compassionate, kind and generous man to everyone. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his love of singing and dancing.

Surviving are his loving daughter and caregiver, Catherine M. Spada, daughter, Gina Biondo and her husband Stefano, grandson, Jeffrey Primo and his wife Chrissie; great-grandsons, Jacob, Daniel and Matthew; brothers, Albert Spada and his wife Mary, Tommy “Bullseye” Spada. Aurora Perez who along with his daughter Cathy provided him with loving care. Many nieces, nephews; his wife Elaina Spada and her children, the late Chrissie, George, Bob, Kim, Gilda, Vicky, Stephanie and Dominick also survive.

He was predeceased by his brothers Mike and his wife Betty, Carmine “Charlie” and his wife Jenny; his sisters Mary DuBois and her husband Edward and Rose Spada and his sister in-law Marge Spada. Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association Hudson Valley Chapter, 2649 South Road, #101 Poughkeepsie, New York 12601 or Hudson Valley Hospice Foundation, 374 Violet Avenue, Poughkeepsie, New York 12601.
