OBITUARY Frank Joseph Corrent May 5, 1920 – November 21, 2018 Frank Joseph Corrent Jr., a native of Chamberlin, LA and resident of Gonzales passed away peacefully at his home in Gonzales on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at the age of 98. Frank was an army veteran who served in World War II. He joined the Faternal Brotherhood of the Free Masons in 1955.

As a member of New River Masons Lodge #402 F&AM, Frank earned a 50 year service pin as Master Mason. He was a faithful member of the VFW Post 3693. He served various ranked positions but will be most remembered for bartending during bingo on Friday and Saturday nights.

Frank was also a member of the Jambalaya Festival Association for many years and the American Legion Post 81. He was member of AARP chapter 4404 and a faithful member of New River Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years Ruby Stafford Corrent; father and mother, Frank Sr. and Maria Cascia Corrent; five siblings, Peter Correnti, Nick Correnti, Carmella “Mary” Corrente Gleason, Corinne Corrente Frederick, Lena Corrente Gambino; two nephews, Charlie and Frankie Gambino; 2 great-nephews, Darren Gambino and Jake Polombo He is survived by his son Larry D. Corrent (Alesha Barnett); grandson, Shane Corrent; great-grandson Laeton Corrent and close friend and companion Bonnie Randall Elledge; former daughter in law, Debra Gomez and numerous nieces and nephews Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation which will be held Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Ourso Funeral Home from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

The visitation will resume at Ourso Funeral Home on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. The Funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. The entombment will immediately follow in Hope Haven Mausoleum on Hwy 30.
