OBITUARY Richard “Dick” K. Chapman Sr. November 11, 1941 – November 9, 2018 Richard “Dick” K. Chapman Sr., a native of Bay St. Louis, MS and resident of St. Gabriel, LA passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018 at the age of 76. Dick was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid Saints fan and enjoyed making people laugh.

Dick is survived by his loving wife, Joan Chapman; sons, Richard “Rik” Chapman Jr. and James “Jerry” Chapman; grandchildren, Colby, Collin, Caleb, Cayne, and Brady Chapman; sisters, Joanie Saujon, Ethel Pepperdene, Pat Hillie; brother, Tommy Chapman. Dick is preceded in death by his parents, Buddy and Mae Chapman; brother, Pete Chapman; brothers-in-law, Ben Hille and Ray Saujon. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am celebrated by Fr.

Charlie Landry and long-time friend, Fr. John Kholer. Entombment will follow at the church mausoleum.

Colby Chapman, Collin Chapman, Caleb Chapman, Cayne Chapman, Ben Lapeyrolerie, and Brent Saujon will serve as pallbearers. Bob Hornstein will serve as honorary pallbearer. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Dick’s honor to St. Vincent De Paul (svdpbr.org/) , St. Gabriel Catholic Church (3625 LA-75, St Gabriel, LA 70776), or St. Joseph Abbey (www.
