Obituary for Frank Theodore ‘Bud’ Grover Frank T. ‘Bud’ Grover, 84, of Pasco, passed away June 2, 2018. Our love for him was so strong that we wanted to keep him but it was not to be. His suffering is over; he is now at peace.

Bud was born on July 2, 1933, the eldest of nine children, to Frank and Blanche Grover, in Prosser, WA. The family lived in Benton City and Wallula, before they moved to Pasco in 1944, where Bud was a graduate of Pasco High school, class of ‘51’. Bud was in one of the first groups of 19 year olds drafted in Pasco for the Korean War.

He was a member of the 558th Military Police for the 8th Army Headquarter in Seoul, Korea. Bud married his high school sweetheart Barbara Frimodt and together they had three children. As a young man, Bud worked for the Northern Pacific Railroad.

He later entered the retail tire business, first in management and then his own business in Ellensburg, WA, where the family spent many fun years snowmobiling, waterskiing and boating. They also had a home in Desert Aire, where they enjoyed many days of golfing. He truly enjoyed making sure his yard was the nicest in the neighborhood.

When not in the yard, he could be found in his immaculate garage spit shining his cars or his bike. Upon retirement, they traveled for a time and finally settled in Poulsbo, WA, where their daughter and grandkids resided. They returned to Pasco, 9 years ago.

Bud is survived by his wife of 65 years, Barbara and their children, Ted of Ellensburg, Susan (Zoltan) Tusnadi of Poulsbo, Jamison (Pam) Grover of Garrison, MT, two special granddaughters, Kira and Isabella (Korey), great grandchildren, Ayva Mae and Brayden of Belfair, WA, sisters, Dawn Christen of Richland, Judy Jones, and Sandra Mellor, both of Prosser, WA, Peggy Brandsma (Rick) of Tacoma, one brother Jerry Grover of Tumwater, WA, and several nieces and nephews. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Charlotte Crawford, Darlene Clark and brother Duane Grover. At his request, there will be no services.

In honor and remembrance of our loved one, and for the special care he received, donations can be made to Chaplaincy Hospice Care in Kennewick, WA. In July there will be a celebration of life with an inurnment and full military honors at the Fort Harrison, MT, Veteran Cemetery. Enjoy your walks with Britt, we will love you forever Dad.
