Obituary for Fred W. Maynard Jr. Fred W. Maynard, Jr., 75, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. Fred was born November 28, 1942 in Reeds, MO to Fred Maynard, Sr. and Elizabeth “Pennington” Maynard. Fred worked in highway maintenance for MODOT and attended Faith Life Worship Center.

Fred was united in marriage to Barbara Crocker on December 5, 2008 in Carthage; she survives. Fred is survived by three sons, Brian Maynard (Sheila) of Purcell, Steven Maynard (Kimberly) of Purcell and Micheal Maynard (Heather) of Blue Springs, MO; two daughters, Jackie Shellenbarger (John) of Carthage and Cary Crocker of Carthage; two brothers, Bob Maggard of Reeds, Jack Maggard (Rita) of Jasper; two sisters, Mary Fenton (Russell) of Reeds and Donna Balster (Steve) of Jasper; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Fred was preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly Maynard; one brother, Mike Maggard and one sister, Barbara Parker.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Avilla Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Gideon’s International. Online condolences may be made at www.
