Lois Jewell Fenimore, 93, born April 9, 1925, of Carthage, Missouri, peacefully passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 13, 2018, in Kerrville, Texas, while surrounded by her loving family who sang Amazing Grace and Just as I Am as she sighed and took her final breath. She was a life-long Christian who was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Carthage. She wanted everyone to know Jesus and that was her life’s mission.

Lois Jewell was preceded in death by her father, John Henry Plummer; mother, Bessie Sidenstricker Plummer; brothers, Ross, L.D., and Joe Plummer; husbands, Robert Calvin Jennings and Floyd Luverne Fenimore; and son, Jerry Dale Fenimore. She is survived by siblings, Thelma Bass, Clyde Plummer, Darlene Wilson, Ailene Dewelt (Nelson Williams); sisters-in law, Rosie Plummer, Deola Plummer, and Shirley Plummer; daughter-in-law, Jane Fenimore; children, Larry Plummer, Robert “Chuck “Jennings (Amy), Evelyn Miller (Eddie), Garry Fenimore, Donna Watkins (Joe), and Jackie Fennimore; and many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren stretching over 5 generations and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Knell Mortuary, 308 W. Chestnut Street, Carthage, MO. Services will be held 9 am, Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Knell Mortuary. Brad Hunt will officiate.

Interment will follow at Emmanuel Cemetery on Cedar Road in Carthage. Pallbearers will be Ron Garrett, Michael Schmadl, Vernon Dennis, Adam Dennis, Wayne Plummer, and Woody Hill. Flowers may be sent to Knell Mortuary or donate to Church of the Nazarene or a charity of your choice in care of Knell Mortuary.

The family invites you to attend a farewell meal for Lois Jewell at the Church of the Nazarene at 2000 Grand Avenue in Carthage following the interment.
