OBITUARY Fredia Alberta Zinn Seever July 7, 1920 – October 26, 2018 Fredia Alberta Zinn Seever, 98, passed away October 26, 2018 at Garden Valley. Funeral services are 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 31st at Englewood Baptist Church with burial following in Crown Hill Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, MO. Visitation is from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the McGilley Antioch Chapel.

Contributions are suggested to Englewood Baptist Church. Fredia was born July 7, 1920 to Roy and Julia (Doyel) Gifford in Liberty, MO. She was raised in the rural area of Kearney, MO and enjoyed life on the farm with her sisters, Ula, Winifred, and brother, Wayne.

Fredia attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg where she received a Teaching Certificate. She taught in Summerset School, a one room school house in rural Clay County and loved sharing memories of her teaching experiences there. Fredia married Orville Zinn and they had two daughters, Meryl Ann and Constance Jan.

Together they owned Zinn Construction Company where Fredia was talented in designing and decorating homes. She also sold real estate for Better Homes and Garden. Following retirement they enjoyed their winter home in Fr.

Meyers, Florida where Fredia found her passion in painting. Following Orville’s passing, Fredia married John Seever. They enjoyed wintering in Florida and spending time with their many grandchildren before John passed away.

Fredia was preceded in death by her daughter, Meryl Ann; husbands Orville and John; two sisters, one brother and her parents. Fredia had the gift of hospitality and enjoyed entertaining at her home which included hosting meals, card playing and games. She was well known for her talents of painting, sewing and quilting.

Fredia was a founding member of the Englewood Baptist Church, one of her proudest accomplishments. Survivors include her daughter, Connie Swayze and husband, Terry; granddaughters, Sterling Driver and husband, Benjamin, Tami Haas and husband, Jeff, and their two sons, Tommy and Jordan, and Christy Hall and husband, Chip, and their sons, Caleb and Tyler; and her many nieces and nephews. Fredia was welcomed into the Seever family where she became close to John’s children and grandchildren.
