Fredric S. Griste, 79, of Phoenixville and Exton, PA, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019. Born in Philadelphia, PA on December 1, 1939, he was a son of the late William Edward and E. Isabel (LaVecchia) Griste. He graduated from Villanova University and worked as a mechanical engineer for Penn Fishing Tackle, Allister Manufacturing Company, GE Aerospace and most recently with Pagnotta Engineering before retiring.

Fred enjoyed working on automobiles, tackling any carpentry project, watching movies, spending time with his grandchildren and vacationing in Cape May, NJ. He is survived by: son, Wiley and Susan Griste; daughter, Emily and Timothy Newman; grandchildren: Jacob, Seth, Wes, and Maxwell; and sisters; Marilyn Stringer, Edythe Berglund, and Arlene Griste. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Griste.

A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3460 Schuylkill Road, Spring City, PA on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 11:00 am. A viewing will be held in the church on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Myelodysplastic Syndrome Foundation at www.
