Gail Stafford, age 73, of Nixa passed away Monday, February 12, 2019. He was born July 7, 1945 in Rolfe, IA to Ray and Gladys (Onnen) Stafford. Gail went into the Air Force right after high school and was an Air Police Officer.

He was in the Air Force for four years during the Viet Nam era. After leaving the Air Force Gail worked in the home loan industry for over 30 years. He worked in Denver, Las Vegas and Anchorage.

Gail moved to Nixa when he retired to be close to family. He was a member of the Christian County Search and Rescue Team. Gail loved to hunt and fish.

He attended the Cowboy Church in Highlandville. Gail is survived by his sister Nancy Ledoux of Storm Lake, IA; his brother Dennis Stafford of Highlandville; five nieces; one nephew; and many friends. Gail is preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Saturday, February 16, 2019 in Adam Funeral Home, Nixa. A funeral service will be held Fratzke and Jensen Funeral Home, Fonda, IA and burial will follow at Cedar Township Cemetery, Fonda, IA.
