She was born on June 26, 1936 in New York, the daughter of Benjamin and Rosalyn Henkin. Gail worked as a computer programmer for Micom Communications for many years.

In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing bridge, camping, fishing, and doing needle point art. She was also an unwavering fan of the UCLA Bruins. Gail married the love of her life, Donald Borad, who preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory their two loving children, Ellen and Gary Borad, and grandchildren, Jaimie and Kristie Borad. No public services are planned.
