Obituary for Gaye Chapman (Smith) Gaye (Emma Grace) Chapman, born January 28, 1946 in Pike County, Kentucky went home to be with Jesus on Friday, June 1, 2018. She died at home from a long illness, surrounded by her family. She was an incredibly amazing and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter, and aunt.

She loved the Lord with all of her heart and soul. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Ronald Lee Chapman, Sr., Indian Mound, TN, mother, Ona Smith, Owensville, KY, three children, Terina Mayberry (James), Cadiz, KY, Ronald Lee Chapman, Jr. (Terri), Indian Mound, TN, Kimberly Dawn Navarre (Troy), Ocala, FL, brothers, Frank Smith (Mary), Salt Lick, KY, Jefferson Smith (Sandy), Ocala, FL, Willie Smith, Olympia, KY, Bobby Smith (Belinda), Madisonville, KY, Thomas Smith (Mary), Greenville, SC, Larry Smith, Owensville, KY, David Smith (Isabella), Owensville, KY, Randy Smith (Serena), Greenville, SC, sisters, Sarah Belle Smith, Portsmouth, OH, Beatrice McClain, MI, sister-in-law, Linda Smith, Cumberland Furnace, TN, 13 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren, and a slew of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Willie T. Smith, mother, Thelma Blackburn Hall, brother, Johnny Smith, and sister, Thelma Jean Craig.

A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 pm Tuesday, June 5th at Anglin Funeral Home, with Rev. Rickey Parker officiating, burial will be in the Wyatt Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, June 4th from 2:00 – 8:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home and from 10 am until the time of celebration on Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Isaiah Mayberry, Joshua Mayberry, Gabriel Brown, Garon Brown, Ronald L. Chapman, III, and Christopher Wallace. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Smith, Tommy Smith, and Michael Miracle. Arrangements are entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, TN.
