Gaynell Watts, 71, of Letcher passed away Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Gaynell was the son of the Troy and Arleana Smith Halcomb. Surviving is her boyfriend: Willie Johnson; 1 son: Tom Watts of Hallie; 1 daughter: Darlene (Darryl) Howard of Bonnyman; 2 brothers: Harlan Halcomb of Beehive and Julius Lee Halcomb of Delphia; 3 sisters: Marie Cress of Delphia, Jeanette Tessner of Delphia, and Margaret Clark of Indiana; 2 grandchildren: Matthew Howard and Lucas Howard.

Gaynell was preceded in death by 1 brother: Dewey Halcomb. Funeral: 12:00 O’clock Noon, Monday, May 14, 2018 at the Cedar Grove Old Regular Baptist Church with Jim Fields, Scotty Halcomb, Squire Watts, and Elwood Cornett officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow in the Watts Family Cemetery at Hallie, Kentucky.
