Obituary for Gaynelle Helen Cubitt (Ferrier) Print Gaynelle “Helen” Ferrier Cubitt, 80, of Erie, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Elmwood Gardens. She was born in Purchase Line, PA on September 8, 1938, a daughter of the late Paul and Helen Croasmun Ferrier. Helen graduated from East High School.

She was the co-owner and operator of The Stone House Restaurant with her daughter, Shelley. Helen was a member of Elmwood Avenue Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, David J. Cubitt, Sr.; her son James Ferrier; and her special friend Dave Litz, Sr. Survivors include her four sons, David J. Cubitt, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Lake City, Dale Cubitt and his wife Colleen of Fairview, Danny Cubitt and his wife Julie of Erie, and Dean Cubitt of Erie; two daughters, Shelley Triana and her husband Thomas of Ripley, N.Y. and Linne’ Kacprowicz and her husband David of Fairview; 21 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; three brothers, William Ferrier and his wife Marge, of Indiana, Donald “Pete” Ferrier, of Erie, and Gerald Ferrier and his wife Kathy, of Erie; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd. on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of funeral service there at 4 p.m. Entombment will be private in Mary, Queen of Peace Mausoleum.
