Gene E. Pummer, 83, of Wingo, died Tuesday morning, January 1st, 2019 at his home. Gene was a retired warehouse manager with General Tire of Mayfield. Gene also was a member and Deacon with Enon Baptist Church of Wingo.

Gene is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nell; four children, Robert Pummer of Water Valley, Melissa Carroll of Hastings, Mich. , Kelly Cox of Wingo, and Matt Pummer of Joppa, IL. ; one sister, Twila Baker of Knoxville, Tn.

; fourteen grandchildren; ten great Grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Adam Pummer and Telitha Melissa Morrow Pummer; two brothers; two sisters; and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Sunday afternoon, January 6th, 2019 at Enon Baptist Church of Wingo starting at 3pm with Brother Ike Murphey and Brother Chris Clark officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the building fund for Enon Baptist Church of Wingo. Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
