Geneva Eileen Anderson, 97, of Silvis, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019, at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis. Per her wish’s cremation rights have been accorded. Memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline.

Inurnment will be at Rose Lawn Memorial Estate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Geneva was born on July 6, 1921, in Fairplay, Missouri, the daughter of Garland and Fannie (Malloy) McKinney.

She previously owned and operated many taverns in the Quad City Area and was a member of the Tavern Association. She enjoyed traveling and spending time on the local boats. She was also a lifetime member of the Country Music Association.

The family would like to give thanks to the Special Ladies at Illini Restorative Care. Survivors include her daughter, Verna (Ray) Sprouse, Silvis; grandchildren, Brian (Amanda Sprouse), Lee Sprouse; great grandchildren, Emma and Camden Sprouse. She was preceded in death by parents, a brother and sister.
