Geneva Mae Smith, 86, departed this life January 19, 2019 in Springfield, Missouri. She was born in rural St. Clair County, MO May 5, 1932 to James Goldman and Gladys Delsey Taylor.

She was married to Billy M. Smith January 3, 1949, and they were blessed with six children. He preceded her in death on April 14, 2003. Geneva was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church.

She worked as a housekeeper at Ellett Hospital for many years and was a gifted seamstress, sewing and mending for her family and the community. She always thought of others and put them first. She had a friendly, warm, ever-present smile and was a kind gentle lady.
