Sanzi, 81, of North Street, Hazle Township, died Tuesday at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton. Born in West Hazleton, December 29, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Kubeck) Kulaga and spent her entire life in the area. Genevieve was an active member of the Holy Name of Jesus Parish and most recently, until her retirement, was employed as a cleaning person for the Hazleton Area School District.

She loved to bake and both watch polka’s and listen to them on the radio. But most importantly, she especially cherished the time she spent with her family. Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was her husband Joseph Sanzi; sister Helen Schegan and brothers Stanley and Leo Kulaga.

Surviving are son Joseph Sanzi and his wife Mary Margaret of Hazle Township; grandsons Matthew Sanzi and his wife Shannon of Castle Creek, NY and Robert Sanzi and his wife Kendra of Berwick; granddaughter Tiffany Sanzi of Hazle Township; great grandchildren Natalie, Caiden and Charlotte Sanzi and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 AM from the Holy Name of Jesus Parish, 213 West Green Street, West Hazleton. Rev.

Peter J. O’Rourke will preside. Burial will follow in the Transfiguration Parish Cemetery, West Hazleton. Friends may call at the church Tuesday morning from 9:30 AM until time of service.
