George B. LaSage, 72, of 18941 Game Farm Road, Dexter, passed away May 20, 2019 at Hospice of Jefferson County at the Ellis Farm. Born on June 10, 1946 in Watertown, the son of Robert and Alice (McNay) LaSage, he graduated from Watertown High School. Following school he went to work at NY Air Brake as an Engineer for twenty six years.

During that time he served in the Army Reserves. He moved to Canfield, Ohio where he worked at Linde Hydraulics Co. as a manger for the next fifteen years, retiring in 2008. He married Penny Lunderman of Watertown on September 2, 1967.

The couple resided in Watertown where she was a homemaker most of her life. Once her children grew up she worked at the Wildflower Art Gallery in Watertown for many years. She passed on October 2, 2008.

George was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Among his survivors are his two beloved daughters and a son in law, Tami L. and Brant W. Tarwater, Dexter, Bobbi A. LaSage and her companion, Jeffery Holder, Stony Point, NC, three grandchildren, Jordan, Jeremy and Alison and one great granddaughter, Penny. Besides his parents and wife he is predeceased by a brother, Robert “Bob” LaSage.

Arrangements are with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 25 at Life Church of the Nazarene, 535 Thompson Blvd. , Watertown, with Rev.

Robert Tharp , Pastor officiating. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County 1398 Gotham St., Watertown, NY 13601.
