GEORGE E. BALLINGER SR. of Medford, NJ, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, January 24th, 2019. He was 80 yrs.

old. Born in Mt. Holly, NJ, he is the son of the late David W. & Mary E. (nee Pearson) Ballinger, and is the husband of the late Nancy (nee Shontz) Ballinger.

George started at a young age working on his grandfather’s, George Pearson’s Sunnyside Dairy farm in Medford. George eventually found himself at U.S. Pipe and Foundry in Burlington, NJ where he worked as a Heavy Machine Mechanic for over 40 years until his retirement in 2005. George’s love of farming and tractors brought him and various local farmers and friends to start the Central Jersey Tractor Pullers Association, an organization he was a member of since its inception.

He was also a member of the Medford United Methodist Church and the Odd Fellows Lodge #100 of Medford. He is the Beloved Father of Debbie Adams (Wayne) of Lumberton and George Ballinger Jr. (Kim) of Delran. George was a proud grandfather to Danielle Adams and Evan and Noah Ballinger.

He is also survived by his brothers David Ballinger (Janet) of Medford, NJ, Wayne Ballinger (Dolores) of Buckeye, AZ, and sister Lynn Rockhill (Wayne) of Medford, NJ. He was close to his in-laws, Wayne Shontz (Roberta) and Sally Shontz as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Relatives and Friends are invited to his viewing on Friday, Feb.

1, 2019 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford, NJ and on Saturday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Medford United Methodist Church, 2 Hartford Rd. , Medford, NJ, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow in the Parkview Cemetery in Medford, NJ. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family asks that donations be made the Medford United Methodist Church, 2 Hartford Rd. , Medford, NJ 08055, Deborah H&L Foundation, P.O. Box 820, Browns Mills, NJ 08015-0820 or to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
