George E. Miller, 79, Logansport, formerly of Rochester, passed away at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at his residence. Born April 11, 1939, in Miami County, Indiana, he was the son of Emerson Ray and Bessie Irene (Wheeler) Miller. He was a farmer and had worked at Olin Corporation for many years.

He enjoyed saw sharpening and had operated his own shop, Miller Saw Sharpening at his home. He was a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodges of Rochester, Indiana and had been a member of the Rochester Lions Club. He is survived by two brothers, Gilford (Johnnie) Miller, Macy; and Gerry (Loretta) Miller, Wabash, one sister, Lavina Stout, Peru; and longtime companion, Marilyn Foust, Logansport.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Garl and Glenn Miller, sisters Mary Jane Stephens, and Betty Weaver, and two half sisters, Daisy Smith and Wanetta Sigler. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana, with Pastor Kevin Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in Deedsville IOOF Cemetery, Deedsville, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Tuesday prior to the service. McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana, has been entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be sent online at www.
