Obituary for George “Eric” Johnson George “Eric” Johnson, 71, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on December 15, 2018. He was born on January 3, 1947 in Huntington, WV to the late Norman L. Johnson and Virginia Conway Johnson. A proud family man, Eric was married to his loving wife, Linda, for 37 years and was excited to be welcoming his first grandchild due to arrive in January.

Described by his family as “one of a kind”, Eric was a creative and accomplished business man. Having been in the flooring business since the age of 17, he was the owner of Eric Johnson Enterprises Inc. and iCarpetiles. Eric loved to travel, being particularly fond of San Francisco and Paris.

He was a 1964 graduate of Seneca High School and was an active member of the Alumni Association. Left to honor and cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Linda C. Johnson; son Brad C. Johnson and wife Mayra R. Johnson; and soon, grandson Dylan R. Johnson. The family would like to express their gratitude for the supportive and compassionate care from the staff of Hosparus, and his other healthcare providers.

Eric’s funeral service will be Saturday, December 22, 11:00am at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, Louisville, KY 40207 “in St. Matthews”. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday, December 21 from 4:00 to 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made as contributions to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 301 E Main St. Ste.
