A Funeral Mass celebrating the life of George H. Barry will be held on Monday April 30th, 2018 at 10:00 am in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, Waltham. Mr. Barry passed away in his home on Wednesday afternoon after a battle with cancer. George was 81.

Born in Boston, George graduated from Roslindale High School, class of 1955. George worked at Stone and Webster for many years. He enjoyed coaching hockey in Waltham and Belmont for several years, and continued to follow the Bruins.

After retiring he enjoyed spending time with family and his grandsons, and playing golf. He is the beloved husband of Janice C. (Santoro) Barry. Son of the late Laurence and Elizabeth (Kearney) Barry.

Devoted father of Christine Barry of Waltham, James Barry of GA and Julie Haroutunian & her husband Steven of Reading. Dear brother of the late Laurence Barry, Anne Kenney, Dorothy McNamara, Rev. Thomas Barry & Robert Barry.

Loving grandfather of Thomas & Ryan Haroutunian. Also loved by many nieces & nephews. Dear friend of Raymond & Nancy Condon.

Funeral from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown on Monday April 30th at 9:00 AM, followed by Funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Rd. , Waltham at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited.

Visiting hours Sunday 3-6 PM. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Watertown.
