A Memorial Service for David M. Kiley of Watertown will be celebrated on Thursday evening May 17th, 2018 in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, Watertown at 6 PM. Mr. Kiley, a son of the late Robert and Catherine (Casey) Kiley passed away in his home after a period of declining health. He was 71.

David was born in Boston, MA and graduated from Watertown High School class of 1965. He enlisted in the US Army and was discharged honorably with the rank of SP4. He joined the Watertown Police Department and served until his retirement.

He attended the North Bennett St. School and become a locksmith after leaving the Watertown Police Department. David was a member of the American Legion Post 440, Eagles Aerie 1928 (past Vice-President), DAV, AmVets, American Irish Police Association and the Marine Corps League, Shutt Detachment in Watertown. He was an avid supporter of our veterans and donated his time, effort and money to provide an annual cookout for the Northhampton VA PTSD in-patients for many years.

He loved to garden and enjoyed spending as much time as he could outside tending his plants, flowers and vegatables while soaking up the sunshine. He is the beloved husband of Celia “Dee” Peterson Kiley. Devoted father of David M. Kiley (BFD) & his wife Maura of Brighton.

Dear brother of Marianne Schecher of Naples, FL, and the late Fran and Ronnie Kiley. Loving uncle of Hillary Kiley of Cambridge and Paul Kiley of Brighton. A Memorial Service will be held in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, 270 Main St. Watertown on Thursday evening, May 17th 2018 at 6 pm.
