George Harold Milton, Sr., age 80, of Baxley died Monday, January 7, 2019 in the Appling Healthcare System. Mr. Milton was born August 19, 1938 in Appling County to the late Alton Vance Milton and the late Mary Frances Johnson Milton and was a member of Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church. He was a retired carpenter and was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Kicklighter Milton, sons, Greg Milton, Jeffery Milton, sister, Mary Jean Gardner and a brother Vance Milton.

Survivors include his daughter, Marcie Baxter of Swainsboro; son, George Harold Milton, Jr. of Baxley; sister, Betty Dixon of Baxley. Two grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church with Rev.

Jim Snell and Rev. James Minick officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Church.

Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Bub Moody, Terry Moody, Skip Milton, Rick Milton, Chris Milton and Bo Moody. Arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
