George Henry Sellers December 21, 1948 – December 21, 2018 George Henry Sellers was born on December 21, 1948 to Mary Melissa Sellers in Blackshear, Georgia. He was the eldest of three children, Linda Gwendell Sellers and Luman Thomas Bradley, Jr. His mother preceded him in death in 2004. George found life in Los Angeles during the 60’s to be challenging for a young black man, to better himself, on April 26, 1966 he became active military, joining the United States Marine Corps.

He served his country for 4 years. During his service he achieved the following accolades, National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal; Vietnam Campaign Medal; Presidential Unit Citation; Combat Action Ribbon; Marksmanship Badge. George retired after 42 years and 8 months of service in 2013 from the Department of Defense at Point Mugu in Telecommunications.

In departing this life George leaves to cherish his memory and to carry the torch forward, his wife Carol; his 7 children, James (Timicka) Samuel, Tanisha Smith, Felicia Baker, Eric Baker, Keya (Brandon) Merriweather , Carl Grant, and Christopher Grant; his siblings, Linda Sellers, Luman T.Bradley, Jr., Isis Huff, Misti Huff, Cherokee Huff, and Shanise Huff; his 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. George also leaves a host of relatives, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
