George passed away Sunday May 20, 2018. He was born July 5, 1934 in Ogden Utah to Julian and Lucille Palmer. He married Jeneane Shulz on February 17, 1956.

George served in the United States Army as a Sargent from 1953 to 1956. George will be remembered for his quirky sense of humor. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.

He was a Utah State Meat Inspector before he and his wife purchased their business, Palmer Packing, in 1974. He will be loved and missed by all. He is survived by his wife; four sons: Ron (Connie) of Fielding, Utah, Quinn (Mitzi) of Tremonton, Utah, Tony (Melanie) of Garland, Utah, and Keith (Michelle) of Tremonton, Utah; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his sisters: Lorraine Murry of Ogden, Utah, Jean Hachmeister of Ogden, Utah, Freda Mcdowell of Ogden, Utah, Dee Oliver of Ogden, Utah; and his brother Jay Palmer of Ogden, Utah. George was preceded in death by his granddaughter Lacy Palmer, grandson Chad Palmer, and great-granddaughter Paisley Allen. The family would like to thank Access Home Healthcare & Hospice and Michelle Palmer for the loving care that they showed to George.

A visitation will be held on Thursday May 24, 2018 from 12-1:30 p.m. at the Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E. Tremonton, Utah). Interment in the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
