Obituary for Mr. George Raymond Hawkins Funeral services for Mr George Raymond “Ray” Hawkins, 74, will be held at 1:30 pm on Sunday, September 2nd, 2018 at the Fourth Street Baptist Church . The Rev. Harry Wallace, Jr. and the Rev.

Randy James will officiate with burial in Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 1:30 pm on Sunday, September 2nd, 2018 at the church. Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home is serving the family.

Memorials may be made to Fourth Street Baptist Church, 501 S. Fourth St., Hartsville, SC 29550. Mr Hawkins, widower of Lou Hawkins, died peacefully on Friday, August 31st, 2018 . Born in Darlington County, SC, he was a son of the late J. C. and Ruby Moore Hawkins.

He was a member of Fourth Street Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon. His faith was a very important part of his life. He was loved by his family and will be missed dearly.

Surviving are his daughter, Zanamaria Martin of Royston, GA; sisters, Betty H. Johnson of Hartsville, SC, Vivian H. (Kenny) Coggins of Spartanburg, SC; several grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Brock Hawkins; brothers, Joe Hawkins and Henry Hawkins.
