George “Skeeter” Roy Overton, 55, departed this walk of life Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Wayne UNC Health Care. A private service will be held for the family. George was born in Wayne County on October 28, 1962 to Eunice Anderson Overton of Grantham and the late Bobby Eugene Overton.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Felicia Worrell Overton; three brothers, Bobby Overton (Angie) of Mt. Olive, Stanley Overton (Robin) of Dudley and Daryl Overton (Linda) of Grantham and one sister, Jenny Myers (Randy) of Beautancus, NC. The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
