George Wesley Dye age 85 of Birmingham went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2018. He was preceded in death by her parents, Orbin and Aubrey Dye; the love of his life and wife of 66 years, Shirley Ann Dye; one son, Mark Dye; one granddaughter, Stephanie Dye and one brother, Gerald Dye. He is survived by two sons, Mike Dye (Kathy) and Rick Dye (Cathy); daughter-in-law, Debra Dye; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was a resident of Jefferson County most all of his life and was a member of Pleasant Grove Church of Christ. He was a supporter of the Humane Society, Wounded Warriors, and was a professional pattern maker for over fifty years, until he retired. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2018 at 1:00 P. M. at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Valhalla Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11 A. M. to the 1 P. M. at Valhalla Funeral Home.
