Larry Woodrow Edwards, Sr. was born on November 18, 1956, to Lemon Mack Edwards and Arwilda (Caldwell) Edwards in Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated from Phillips High School Class of 1975. As Phillip Red Raider, Larry was known for his amazing drum skills.

After graduating high school, He worked as a painter for the family’s painting company, Edwards Painting. Larry Woodrow Edwards, Sr. departed this life on Monday, March 11, 2019. He was preceded in death by his father, Lemon Mack Edwards and his mother Arwilda (Caldwell) Edwards.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of 40 years, Roslyn (Jones) Edwards, five children, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, four brothers, and a host of other relatives and friends.
