Obituary of George Hough George L. Hough, 87, of Stow, passed away January 25, 2019. He was born March 8, 1931 in Youngstown, Ohio. George is survived by his loving wife Rose, with whom he shared a wonderful life of 65 years.

He enlisted with the U.S. Army’s Peace Keeping Forces and was stationed in Germany after WWII. George was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was well respected in the commercial real estate development industry, employed by A & P Tea Company and the Cafaro Company until his retirement in 1997.

George was a sports enthusiast, who played organized basketball and softball, until age 85. He was a player and coach for numerous softball teams, who played in The Akron Silver Softball League for 20 years. George was a member of the 2005 Senior Olympics USA National Championship team.

Above all, George loved spending time with his family. His favorite pastimes were gardening, wood working and family vacations on the beach. He was preceded in death by his grandsons, Justin and Shawn.

George was a loving father and leaves behind his children, Debbie (Bill) Cronauer, George (Sandy), Gary (Teri), Kathy (Dave) Houston and Audrey (Shawn) Spinner; grandchildren, Eric, George and Jennifer Hough, Brandon Spinner, Bryan and David Houston; great grandchildren, Rocco, Lucianna and Vita Bella; sister, Kitty Clements. Friends may call from 5PM to 8 PM, Wednesday at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Rd. , Stow, where Pastor Jim Case will conduct service Thursday 10:30 AM.

Interment at Crown Hill Burial Park in Twinsburg.
