Georgina Piela, 78, (nee Connachan) passed away on Sunday, July 15,2018 at home in Rockaway Borough, NJ The funeral will be from the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered in Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington, NJ at 10:00 a.m. Cremation will be private. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Mrs. Peila was born in Glasgow, Scotland and immigrated to this country in 1960. She lived in Kearny for 15 years before moving to North Arlington in 1975.

In 1996 she moved to Beachwood, NJ. She has lived in Rockaway Borough since 2007. She was a waitress at Montclair Country Club in Montclair, NJ from 1991 until 1993.

Prior, she worked at Europa Restaurant in Harrison, NJ for 15 years. Georgina is survived by her sons, Stephen Piela and Joseph Piela and his wife Christine. She was the beloved grandmother of Alison Chrisitne Piela and Cameron August Piela.
