OBITUARY Gerald A Harting August 13, 1938 – September 7, 2018 Gerald A Harting, 80, of Roanoke, passed away on September 7, 2018. Born on July 13, 1938, in Elwood, he was a son of the late Alfred and Mary (Hancock) Harting. A member of The Cross, Fort Wayne, he retired from General Electric after 42 years of service.

He is survived by his children, Phillip (Cindy) Harting, Trent (Patricia) Harting, and Angie (Bill) Stephens; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Keita (Fox) Harting, and second wife, Barbara Ann (Mowery) Harting. Funeral service will be 1pm, Friday, September 14, at The Cross, 5300 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior.

Calling will also be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, Thursday, September 13, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to The Huntington County Humane Shelter.
