Visitation Sunday, November 11, 2018 2-5 PM at Hamp Funeral Home Funeral Monday, November 12, 2018 10:30 AM at Niagara Falls First Assembly of God Gerald “Jerry” Howes, age 73, of Grand Island, died Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Kenmore Mercy Hospital. Born June 15, 1945 in Medina, New York, he was the son of the late Paul and Wilhelmina (nee Quintern) Howes. Jerry was a member of Terry’s Corners Volunteer Fire Company, where he was a life member and former chief.

He retired from the former Harrison Radiator Plant in Lockport and was then employed at Brookdale Senior Living Center in Wheatfield. Jerry was an avid bowler. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen (nee Cohan) Howes; dear father of Brian (Michelle) Howes of Gasport, Shelley (Guy) Barfield of Stockbridge, Georgia, Sarah (Jason) Kohlbacher of Grand Island, and David Nolf of Hollywood, California; loving grandfather of Megan, Brent, Kelsey, Spencer, Samantha, Jason, and London; and brother of Richard Howes of Lyndonville.

Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 2-5 PM on Sunday at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday at Niagara Falls First Assembly of God, 9750 Niagara Falls Blvd.
