Obituary for Gerald Lee Guffey Gerald Lee Guffey, born on March 5, 1941 in Gadsden, AL passed away at age 77 on April 20, 2018 in Tyler, Texas. Gerald served in the Air Force before working at Goodyear in Gadsden, AL and retiring from Kelly Springfield in Tyler, TX. Gerald was devoted to his wife of 44 years, Beverly.

He was preceded in death by his child, Jennifer Lynne Guffey. Gerald is survived by his children, Thomas Gerald Guffey (Erin Ellis), Sherill Clontz (Craig), and Kathryn England (Dave); and brothers, Larry Guffey (Sue) and Eugene Guffey. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 22nd at 2:00 at Grace Community Church—Lindale Campus, 15567 Woodsprings Rd. , Lindale, Texas, 75771 with the service following at 3:00 pm with the Rev. Lewis Pollard officiating.

Gerald will be interred at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date. Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home is handling arrangements, 206 West South Street, Lindale, Texas, 75771. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Community Church and Hospice of East Texas.
